Sully 2016 The Movie False Accusations

I just went to see Sully the Movie with Tom Hanks, and it was awesome.

I wanted to share how the movie affected me, and what were my particular flashbacks.

The movie in part is about Sully, the hero, the one whom saved hundreds for lives, being falsely accused of jeopardizing the lives under his care.

The most livid and vivid shots are of the NTSB investigator accusing him of not returning to LaGuardia to land the plane. Also, of the computer DATA showing that one engine was still useable when in fact it was shredded to pieces.

The movie shows the deplorable treatment of a hero after an accident and heroic incident.

The tearing away from the family.

The main focus here is that false accusation. He had a career, an excellent professional career, that was put at risk by one false accusation. The instant that false accusation was expressed, he began to suffer. That included panic attacks, being despondent, as well as suffering from post traumatic stress post incident.

As a social worker, I had a long career. In North Carolina, I worked for two departments of social services. Sully worked over forty years as a pilot.

The NTSB officials called him a liar and acting negligently. I was labeled a child abuser by the very persons I had worked years side by side. Sully was an accident investigator, and his fellow accident investigators were responsible for falsely accusing him. Wendell PD and DSS was the false accusers in my scenario.

The evidence and the facts, as Sully rightly pointed, were contrary to NTSB [National Transportation and Safety Board] computer scenario of facts. And in my case, the facts, the physical evidence could not support a charge of child abuse.

Both engines had been obviated by the bird strike that brought the plane down. That was the facts. The NTSB maintained the air plane was still flyable. In my scenario, my daughter had bumped her head on the head board in her room. The false allegations included “trying to suffocate my daughter, trying to bash her head in by repeatedly smashing it against the headboard; then, supposedly, my step-daughter fought me, and hit me with a barbell, and subdued me”.

Well, the evidence, as pointed out in the court room, was, the false accusers, were confronted by the lack of evidence. Repeated bashing requires multiple bumps on the head. Sully, kept his head about home, he reviewed the evidence, and knew what happened, he saved hundreds of lives due to an inoperable plane. In court, my lawyer dissected all the evidence. First, when an officer came to my home, I had no head trauma, after supposedly being beaten by my step daughter with a barbell. We did not even have barbells in the home. I am balding and had the same hair length and not a spot or injury for a person supposedly beat. And, as stated before, a bump on the head is different from “fractures and multiple bruising that would have been consistent with trying to bash someone’s head open”.

The moment the false accusations were levied, that moment Sully suffered. So to, those moments were when I began to suffer, and I continue to suffer. The worse thing in this society is to be labeled s child abuser. The suffering is instantaneous and long-lasting, and healing is dependent on the individual and not according to some quick fast formula.

Sully kept his head when the false allegations were made. I did the same. I took pictures, and as my training had taught me I took my daughter to a professional to make sure I had the documentation to show the child was not abused.

Sully suffered and I am sure he continues to suffer. The NTSB, the haters, had to admit they were wrong, but not once did he see an apology from them. He felt the harsh and intense attacks that I felt too. I am not healed and it is more that six years later.

The injury was further compounded by hiring a dumb lawyer whom tried to fraudulently take my money. I sued but the paper work and his filings were so “Jacked Up” that I lost the right to sue. Civilly for the damages.

I just had to deal with another set of false allegations, and they were against my step-daughter. A friend of mine said how could you even have a relationship with the one whom took part in falsely accusing you. My ex-wife accused my step-daughter recently of many things, falsely, including of being s stripper, and my friend said, “You have God in you” because you forgave her (my step-daughter)” for the false allegations and now continue to help her [just helped her with college stuff]. “I could not do what you are doing”, she said. But, God is good. Sully moved on, and so I did too in part.

I thank God for my life, health and strength. I have suffered greatly over the past six years. Although cleared in court, after trial, some people just still do not care, and want to hurt me with a dismissed charge. The judge was so angry that the case even came to him, but, God is Good.

I just wanted to share this with you all because it hit s spot in my heart when I saw it being played out on the big screen. Had I not seen the movie, I would not have known he too was falsely accused. Wow. God Is Good. Keep strong Sully. The best part of the movie was when his wife thanked all his supporters for the support through the years. I thank God.
