Am I to Blame for Your Sin

You Are to Blame
I remember the story well;
The story the pastor told us.
I was of a believer, a minister in Christ.
He was in the ministry for years.
Filled with the Holy Ghost.
Many had been saved and come to know Christ.
But after the many years, a change.
And, he cursed God and asked that He remove His Holy Spirit from him.
He had succumbed to the devil.
That other lifestyle prevailed.
He wanted the sin life.
He was tired of the fight to live right.
And so it began, the Holy Spirit was removed.
He engaged in a reckless lifestyle.
His addictions took over, and he lost everything.
Lastly, my pastor was able to see the agony of his death.
Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Mat 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Mat 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
The topic came up during a meeting, my “ex turned to another”, and “I was the cause” or blame myself.
Every person is responsible for their salvation and walk with or towards God. God deals with everyone on their level.
It is hard because the attacks on the mind are a daily attack. But, some attacks, although unpleasant at first, can be entertained and welcomed by some. We have to finished and live for God, til the end.
Let us say, I person decides to have sex with a horse. Let us say, they desire to have sex with a sheep. Let us say they decide to have sex with multiple men, being a female; or let us say, they decide to have sex with a man, being a man.
Whatever the vices, giving way to complete and daily use of alcohol and meth or some other drug. The choice is to turn from God and not ask for His help.
So, let us say, after a 20+ years of marriage, someone turns on God. The point is they are turning on God. Or even less, after six years, then back to adultery and fornication. That seed, having been sow years before, suddenly is cultivated, and becomes a life ending addiction.
The ministry person, 40 years plus, close to the death bed, decides to go back out there and have a fling. What happens if that day is the day of judgment/death? All the years of ministry are over, all the work gone. This happens on a daily basis.
The person that you loved, the person that you married, all of a sudden is cripple, disgusting, awful, controlling, manipulative, evil; while, you go on to live with new lover. The same person whom you loved so much to have kids with, is now responsible for ruining your life.
The question is, did that other person change, or was it you. The same temptations, drugs, sex, lavish lifestyle, thoughts, bombard my mind, every second, every moment, and it is only through God’s grace that I can so “no”.
So, if a person turns to homosexuality, after ten years of marriage, or just living together, did the non-turning person cause that change. The answer is “no”. But the attack is yes, Satan will accuse you of being responsible for someone else’s fall. The key is we must not contribute or turn them from God. While Everybody is responsible for their thoughts and ideas and reality. If someone decides well, I am going to move to the woods, and live nakedly, me and my body, and I will have sex with animals, can someone else be held accountable for that person’s actions.
Lastly, supposing, after a divorce, and living 12 years as a single person, you go back and marry, while burning in lust. Whatever the scenario, it is all a person’s choice.
The bottom line is we must do everything with prayer and fasting and according to His will.
Salvation is an every moment event. 40 years of ministry, a worship leader, a minister, a big church, over 1000 members, does not mean that sin does not lie at the door.
1Co_9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Heb_12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
It does not matter. It is glorious to see the death of a Christian. Often, you see the peace. It is hard to see the death of a sinner, often evidences suffering towards the end. All deaths and lives are judged by God, and we do not know that closing thought or decision. Just one last thought of accepting Him and asking for forgiveness might be enough with God. Hence, we just need to ensure we are living for Him, every moment and every day.
God Bless.
